Virgin Atlantic Expands Bengaluru Service with New Flights in 2026, ETTravelWorld

December 30, 2025

Virgin Atlantic has announced an increase in flight frequency between London Heathrow and Bengaluru, expanding from seven to eleven flights per week during January, February, and March 2026. The enhanced schedule underscores the airline’s commitment to strengthening air links between the UK and India while improving connectivity to North America through London Heathrow.

The additional flights supplement Virgin Atlantic’s existing daily service to Bengaluru, which commenced in March 2024, catering to both passenger and cargo operations. India continues to be the airline’s largest growth market outside the United States, supported by rising business and leisure travel demand.

The move complements Virgin Atlantic’s double-daily flights to Delhi and Mumbai and further builds on its strategic partnership with IndiGo, offering seamless connections to 33 destinations across India, including Goa, Amritsar, and Jaipur.

Bengaluru, known as India’s “Silicon Valley,” has emerged as a major global technology and innovation hub. The strengthened air service will enhance links between Bengaluru and the UK’s business ecosystem while enabling smooth onward travel to major North American destinations such as Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, and New York JFK, in partnership with Delta Air Lines and WestJet.

Operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the Bengaluru service features 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium, and 192 Economy seats, along with Virgin Atlantic’s signature Upper Class social space.

Since 2019, Virgin Atlantic has increased capacity to India by 250 per cent , now offering over 500,000 seats annually between the UK and India.

Juha Jaervinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic, said, “We’re delighted to be strengthening our Bengaluru service, reflecting strong customer demand and our continued commitment to India. As one of India’s most dynamic technology and business hubs, it’s fantastic to be able to offer more choice for travellers between Bengaluru and the UK, as well as greater connectivity to North America with our partners, Delta Air Lines and WestJet. Our amazing people look forward to welcoming even more customers on board with our signature service.”
