Lenovo announces ThinkReality VRX: An affordable VR headset for enterprise | Technology News

October 22, 2025

Lenovo recently announced that its ThinkReality VRX virtual reality headset will soon be available for purchase in select markets. Designed for enterprise users, the latest VR headset from Lenovo is powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 processor and runs on Android 12.

The ThinkReality VRX headset can either act as an all-in-one standalone device or can be connected to a PC or a workstation both wired and wirelessly. Lenovo claims that compared to other solutions, its latest VR headset is slimmer, lighter and more comfortable. It also offers a 6DoF experience and offers full-colour high-resolution pass-through capabilities that can come in handy in many types of simulations.

It comes with 12GB RAM, 128GB storage, offers a resolution of 2280 x 2280 per eye and has a refresh rate of 70-90Hz. The headset has a 95n degree field of view and comes with integrated speakers, dual microphones and a 3.5mm jack. It also gets 6DoF controllers, supports hand tracking and comes with buttons on the headset. All of this is backed by a 6,900mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C.

Like Meta Quest Pro, Lenovo’s ThinkReality VRX headset features pancake lenses stacked on top of each other and features a venting system that dissipates heat away from the face of the wearer. The company is also offering XR solutions like ThinkReality xR Services which includes a cloud platform that can help deploy and manage enterprise applications on a global scale and provides end-to-end services to help customers from strategy to delivery.

The headset is the latest addition to the company’s hardware portfolio of commercial XR solutions which also includes the ThinkReality A3 AR glasses that were showcased earlier this year at the MWC 2023. Lenovo ThinkReality VRX starts from $1,299 and will be available in select markets sometime in June this year.
