Buy Samsung’s Galaxy A56 for 20% and Skip the Flagship

January 16, 2026

Why pay for a $800 flagship smartphone? Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A56 drops to its lowest price of $399, saving you 20% off on all colorways. Learn why it’s a better pick than going for a pricier flagship model.

Samsung is carrying over its popular sale on the Galaxy A56 from 2025 into 2026. This mid range champion is currently on sale at Amazon for $399, matching its all time low price. This deal saves you $100, or 20% off the usual $499 retail price.

The offer applies to the unlocked base model with 128 GB of storage. The retailer has all colorways available at the same discounted price: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Olive, Awesome Lightgray, and Awesome Pink. If 128 GB isn’t enough for your needs, you can opt for the 256 GB model, which is similarly discounted to $449 from its original $549. If you ask us, the extra $50 is arguably worth it for double the internal storage.

Who is the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G For?

The Samsung Galaxy A56 (review) arrived on the scene in March 2025. It stands as the most feature packed mid range offering in Samsung’s lineup.

Compared to its predecessor, it offers several meaningful upgrades. On the exterior, it features a refreshed back with a new linear camera island that aligns its design with the flagships. It is also thinner and lighter than before, measuring just 7.4 mm thick. This makes it much more comfortable for one handed use.

Samsung also equipped the device with an improved 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display. The panel features FHD+ resolution with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It is notably brighter than previous models, reaching 1,200 nits in high brightness mode and peaking at 1,900 nits for HDR content. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, and the entire device maintains an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

Internally, the Galaxy A56 runs on the powerful Exynos 1580 chipset. This 4nm processor provides a faster CPU and better graphics performance, making it well suited for gaming and demanding AI workloads. It is also more efficient, allowing the 5,000 mAh battery to last up to two days with mixed usage. Furthermore, charging has been upgraded to 45W super fast charging, a significant jump from the 25W limit on older A series phones.

While the rear camera hardware remains familiar, Samsung has optimized the image quality through improved signal processing and new software features like Awesome Intelligence. This setup produces detailed images with punchy, vibrant colors. The front facing camera now features a new 12 MP sensor that provides much better low light performance and clearer video call quality.
